Job Description: Substation Automation & SCADA/DMS Project

We executed complete Substation Automation System (SAS) and SCADA/DMS implementation for the Distribution System Control and Data Centre Project under Nepal Electricity Authority as sub-contractor for Yantai Dongfang Wisdom Electric Co. Ltd.

Scope of work included:

1. Complete SAS Engineering – SLDs, Logic Diagrams, I/O Lists, IEC 61850 configuration
2. IED, RTU & SCADA configuration including database development and ICCP integration
3. Installation and commissioning of 30 RTU panels across substations
4. Deployment of SCADA/DMS servers, OMS, Historian, SAN storage, and cybersecurity systems
5. LAN architecture with L3 core, DMZ, GPS synchronization & firewall systems
6. Integration of 300+ MFMs, 7,500+ relays, OLTC transducers, and field communication devices
7. End-to-end testing, commissioning, documentation, and operator training

The project covered engineering, installation, system integration, testing, and successful commissioning of centralized control and monitoring infrastructure across multiple substations.
